His research covers Social History of Culture, Digital Humanities and Digital History, with emphasis on abolition and post-abolition in Brazil and the Caribbean, carnival and citizenship, digital archives, computational methods applied to historical research, and the use of large language models and RAG architectures in Humanities research.

He worked as a school and preparatory-course teacher in Rio de Janeiro between 2007 and 2017.
